If you know me, you know veggies are not my favorite.
I will actually leave the room when someone cooks cauliflower and while my relationship with asparagus is less hateful, it's not a favorite. I've had it a few times where it was okay, but never have I ever asked for a second helping. And it wasn't just the asparagus. The steak with mushrooms, onions, and red peppercorns, oh my! But that was the first time we had the asparagus and this picture is the third time. It was a prettier picture so i had to swap it out.
The Best Asparagus
1 bunch of asparagus (thin)
1/4 cup white wine
1 TBS olive oil
3-4 cloves garlic
1/2 cup shredded Pecorino Romano cheese
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425.
2. Mix olive oil, wine, and garlic in a large mixing bowl. Swish asparagus through the mixture. Place asparagus on foil line cookie sheet and cook for 25 minutes.
3. Remove from the oven and return to the large mixing bowl. Add the cheese and mix together. Serve and wait for the smiles.
